If you do not designate a default help server and there are multiple help servers available at your company, end users must perform an initial setup task the first time they access custom help. For example, if you have established distributed help servers based on geographic location, a user would need to select the appropriate server. The server selection is then tied to the user's logon ID. The user is not prompted to select a server again but, using the following procedure, a user can select a different server at any time.
If there is only one help server available or if you have designated a default help server, the end user will not need to perform any setup actions. In this case, the user will be automatically directed to this server for help.
In the uPerform environment, you must enable anonymous access for a project in order to provide end users with context-sensitive help to that project's content. For detailed instructions on enabling anonymous access for a project, refer to Specifying Project Settings in the Managing Content manual.
If you have activated language monitoring, the user will be prompted to select a server with a language designation matching the user's logon language. Refer to Creating User Language Assignments for steps the end user must perform to select a server.
In addition, you can choose to optionally create help by overriding the standard F1 help functionality in SAP. RWD F1 Help will display different documents from different servers based on the value specified in a “material” field. For more information on using F1 help, refer to Setting Up and Using F1 Help.
