Once you have specified the connection with the Server and created projects and users in Solution Manager, you must map document types to Solution Manager and register the outputs in the Server. Mapping document types allows you to specify the Solution Manager tabs on which uPerform published documents are displayed. Registering outputs allows you to specify the publication types you want to store and manage in SAP Solution Manager. Publication types and formats are determined based on the template selected for the output.
NOTE:
|
Plan and outline your outputs in advance as registered outputs cannot be edited. For information on specifying publication types in the uPerform template, refer to "Using Author Templates" in the companion manual Managing Content.
|
The following scenario demonstrates how you can manage your publications when you register new outputs. The first example shows the Register New Output options filled out completely:
After you have registered your new output(s), you can view the output(s) on the Server to ensure your documents will be managed correctly. On the Registered Outputs screen, the Display in column has two possible values:
- "True" if the Do not display this publication on the Server checkbox in the above example is unchecked. This will allow the document to be displayed in Solution Manager as well as on the Server.
- "False" if the Do not display this publication on the Server checkbox in the above example is checked. This will display the document only in Solution Manager.
