To ensure proper installation, perform the procedures in this section in the order specified. Choose the appropriate installation section that follows for your particular database type.
- For SQL and Oracle: Three accounts are needed for the databases. One account, the DBA account, is only used during the application installation and can be removed after the installation is complete. All connections to the Collaboration database are performed through the Collaboration user account. All connections to the database are performed through the Database user account. Both the Collaboration and Database user accounts are created automatically during installation.
- For IBM DB2: Two accounts are needed for the databases: one for the database and one for the Collaboration database. These accounts are created when you create the databases for IBM DB2. Optionally, you can install Collaboration and uPerform onto one database instance using two schemas.
