In addition to local publishing, uPerform content, managed documents, and web documents can be published directly from the Server. The publish queue on the Server can be configured to automatically publish at off-peak hours. In addition, uPerform content will publish to the end user website even if the template is not assigned to the project in which the content resides.
Publishing Configuration
You must be a part of the Publishing Administrators role to configure publishing settings and manage the publish queue. For detailed information on roles, refer to Managing Users, Roles, and Groups.
The content types available for publishing are controlled by the template used to create the content. Content formats available for publishing are controlled by the Server. If the template for the document has been updated, you can republish all documents associated with the template.
Output formats for managed documents (in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel formats) are dictated by the conversion types enabled. Managed documents in other formats (for example, .pdf and .zip files) and web documents are not technically published to an alternate format or type. However, you must add these managed documents/web documents to the publish queue in order to have the managed document/web document display on the end user website. This final step in the development process allows you to maintain access control to your managed documents/web documents. Web documents are immediately displayed on the end user website after being added to the publish queue.
