If a proxy server is used on your network and authentication is required, you must specify the proxy settings directly in Internet Explorer. In addition, you must obtain the username and password for the proxy server and supply this information to the Editor.
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Select .
- Select the Connections tab.
- Click LAN Settings....
- Select the Use a proxy server for your LAN checkbox.
- Enter the IP address of your proxy server in the Address field.
- Enter the port of the proxy server in the Port field.
- Click OK.
- Open the Editor.
- Select .
- Click Proxy Settings under Server.
- Perform one of the following:

- Select Proxy requires authentication.
- Enter a valid Username for the proxy server.
